Remember the first time you saw a skateboard or a BMX? Pretty impressive innit? A couple of weeks ago this picture showed up on the interweb: a skate demonstration on a halfpipe in Amsterdam. I guesstimate that this is 1984-1985 and it looks a lot like the Beursplein on the Damrak in the centre of town. Christ, just check the gear & outfits, fashion! Apparently skating was popular  even way back then because they used fences to keep the public at bay! Just imagine, 1984 … does anyone know more about this demo? Who are these brave heroes on the platform and besides the ramp? Anyone who can tell us more about this epic moment in Amsterdam skating history? Please let us know in the comments below!
